We are a membership organisation representing those across Ireland who are working together to electrify our country.

Our members, working in electric heat, domestic and industrial, as well as electric transport, have come together to advocate for the right policies that will help accelerate electrification.
What we do
We campaign to decarbonise our heating and transport sectors by switching from imported fossil fuels to clean electricity produced in Ireland.
We provide opportunities for our members to network at events like policy forums which are open to members.
Members can help shape Government policy on electrification by working through Ireland Electrified to maximise the impact of our collective voice.
We want to develop specific policies that encourage the transition away from fossil fuels for Irish industry and Irish families.
Our members produce high-quality research to shape the policy agenda. Through events and training programmes, they build networks and develop the knowledge and skills to electrify, and promote the economic and social benefits of electrification.
We work with – and for – our members. Through our collective expertise, we find innovative and effective ways of tackling our shared challenges.
By increasing production of electricity from clean, indigenous, sources and reducing our reliance on imported oil, gas and coal, we will play our part in achieving Ireland’s ambition to reach net-zero by 2050.
We are living in a climate emergency. We must cut our carbon emissions as quickly as possible to ensure a future for life on our planet. And the fossil-fuel energy crisis has exposed Irish families, businesses and industry to unprecedented bills.
An Ireland Electrified will be energy independent with warmer homes, more secure energy for Irish industry, cleaner air and thousands of new jobs in an electrified economy.
Meet our chairperson: Helen O'Sullivan
Helen is Chief Operations Officer with Flex Power Solutions. Helen has over 20 years’ experience in the infant formula industry, in roles such as Manufacturing Excellence, Project Management and Technical Services. Helen was inspired to set up Flex Power Solutions to focus on renewable-led electrification of heat. Flex Power Solutions helps manufacturing sites to flexibly decarbonise their high-temperature heating processes while supporting the electricity market to integrate more renewable generation. Her company repurposes surplus electricity to reduce industry dependence on imported fossil fuel, economically and at speed.
